Welcome to Nasr
City Housing & Development
Nasr City Housing & Development (NCHD has been developing mega plots for tens of thousands of middle-income Egyptians and installing infrastructure and utilities since 1959. Initially, the main purpose was to develop land on 4.5 million m2 of Nasr City and the surrounding area on the outskirts of Cairo, developing parcels of land to be sold and rented for and housing and commercial use.
Nasr City has become the nation’s model for progressive, affordable housing construction, mainly apartments, within a well-designed road system. More than 20,000 homes and 1,290 shops, schools, hospitals, police and fire stations, post offices and petrol stations are located conveniently throughout Nasr City.
NCHD was partially acquired by Beltone Private Equity which succeeded to acquire 30.88% from the company’s free float in December, 2006.
Since its acquisition the outlook has been transformed. NCHD’s team is invigorated, focusing on the next phase of the business plan by providing the housing units Egyptians most want, which will begin to close the gap between the inadequate supply and demand that currently satisfies less than half of the national demand for homes.
